Artist Statement
My art reflects what is close to me. I record inspirations and return to them in my memory, reworking these
impressions into my paintings. Building and deconstructing layers facilitates an intuitive approach,
allowing for intended mark making and freedom of chance. Textures and color play the dominant role and
a minimal composition accentuates the look I want to achieve.
